The Norwegian model for profiling FHIR is established in cooperation between HL7 Norway and Direktoratet for e-helse. Rescources that need adaptoin for special norwegian formats are profiled as a NO-basis- profile, defining the restrictions for a particular variant of a field e.g. identifier used for norwegian FNR/fødselsnummer/national ID. This profiling level does not apply limitations.
National profiles may or may not be built on top of the NO-basis variants, depending on the need for common model for national colaboration of particular resources.
