Intervention Codes - Code Systems

Usage

This is the "value set" of Code Systems that will be specified along with the Intervention Codes. Codes may come from various authorities and this is helpful to understand, especially when processing secondary/tertiary claims where response codes are passed on from the primary claim response.

It is found in the Claim Request here:
Claim.item.modifier.coding:InterventionCode.system

As intervention codes are specified using various code systems, this field may be necessary in order to differentiate as codes in the future, as the FHIR code set evolves.

This code set is extensible as others may be added in the future by any implementer.
