Use this draft profile to explore reimbursement or preauthorisation information related to dental services. It is a financial request with patient, provider and care context; it is not the clinical record of treatment.

Keep the financial workflow separate

Claim items represent the financial request. Do not assume that every clinical Procedure has a Claim item, or that every ChargeItem corresponds to exactly one Claim item. Follow the source system's actual financial grouping and the reference targets permitted by the profile.

For example, a completed restoration remains a Procedure whether or not reimbursement is requested. A claim for that care is a separate financial record. The current profile does not define a complete Norwegian billing or settlement workflow and remains subject to review.
