Following a proposal from the UK Core Development Team, prompted by consultation and feedback from the FHIR Community, the UK FHIR Board has agreed to the creation of an Implementation Group for the UK Core.
Who is this for?
- Anyone who is currently implementing or looking to implement FHIR UK Core
- Anyone who would like to contribute to the direction of FHIR development in the UK
- If you are unsure if it is for you, please come along, we’re a friendly bunch
What do we want from the people who participate?
- Your participation will help define the role of this group and its objectives
- Discussion and proposals around implementing FHIR UK Core
- Making suggestions around what is needed to assist in implementing FHIR UK Core
- Suggest the timing and format of these online meetings
- Agree a common forum for informal FHIR UK Core discussions
- We would like you to participate in early meetings to help define the terms of reference for this group

The 1.6.0 version of UK Core is available for the Sprint 6 of Clinical and Technical Assurance three-week review period. The review runs from 27th February 2023 until 20th March 2023.
You are invited to register to participate in Sprint 6 of the Clinical and Technical Assurance process of a set of components for inclusion in the candidate 'HL7 FHIR UK Core Implementation Guide R4' in development.
This notice is to inform the UK FHIR Community regarding the next UK Core C&TA sprint. Following feedback received from sprint 5 of Clinical & Technical Assurance and the progress of the UK Core through the first HL7 UK Ballot, the decision has been agreed at the HL7 UK FHIR Board to temporarily pause adding further UK Core content, to allow a technical sprint to take place.
