Introduction

This API is developed for EHR providers that choose to integrate with SFM and use the SFM GUI. It includes all needed resources for reading and writing data between the SFM solution and integrated EHR.

The provided API partly use national basis resources and partly profiles derived from international resources.

Datadeling is a Norwegian word for Data Sharing and is a concept suitable for use of FHIR as standard for the exchange of data. The Norwegian Directorate of ehealth issued in 2019 "Recommendation for using HL7 FHIR for Data Sharing". Althoug SFM in the current concept provides only "internal" communication as SFM is considered internal to the physisians organization, FHIR was a natural choice for this API. The EHR system will typically be master, and responsible for Creation (C in CRUD), for resources like Patient and Practitioner, it will typically be Reader (R in CRUD) for most of the medication resources.

SFM implements two alternative integration methods

• EHR with embedded SFM GUI and SFM Datadeling API (This implementetaion Guide)
