NCI
The NCI (National Cancer Institute) Terminology is a standardized vocabulary system supporting cancer research, clinical care, and public health. It includes terms for cancer types, stages, treatments, and diagnostics, as well as vocabularies for genomics and molecular biology. The terminology also provides definitions and codes for clinical trials, protocols, and PROMs.
NCI started to integrate PROMs by providing mappings to tools commonly used in oncology, such as the EORTC QLQ-C30 or PROMIS measures.
Thus, the terminology is also included for the mapping of psychiatric PROMs and each of their items specifically (similar to LOINC) as it includes PROMs relating to mental health in the context of oncology.
