I am a computer scientist with broad interests and diverse skills who has devoted his career to improving healthcare technology. In particular, I am proficient in bioinformatics, machine/deep learning, ontologies, Health IT standards and interoperability, architecture of software systems, algorithm development, big data and statistical analysis, project management, and technology strategy. I can code equally as well as I can present to a board of directors.

I truly believe that we as a society are on the cusp of making great advances in Health IT, and that these advances should be universally accessible. To achieve this, it all starts with: understanding user needs, designing and making informed decisions with data, doing the hard work to make things simple for users, iteration, good communication, honesty, and integrity.
