Dr. Daniel B. Hier is emeritus Professor of Neurology and Rehabilitation at University of Illinois at Chicago and Adjunct Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology. He is dual boarded in Medical Informatics and Neurology. He previously served as Head of Neurology at University of Illinois at Chicago and later as a Physician Consultant to the Cerner Corporation of Kansas City MO. His research interests are in electronic health records, machine learning, and patient phenotyping via Natural Language Processing.
