FQL is a query language that allows you to retrieve, filter and project data from any data source containing FHIR Resources. It brings the power of three existing languages together: SQL, JSON and FhirPath. It allows you to create tables and is useful for gaining insight and perform quality control.

A laboratory result as defined in the Dutch GP association NHG in the GP-EHR reference model (Dutch: HIS referentiemodel) based on observations of type L in NHG Table 45 Diagnostische bepalingen. A diagnostic test is an objectifiable diagnostic procedure. The result is the outcome of the procedure. Tests include vital signs like blood pressure, weight and lab results like ferro in blood.
