Logical Model Mental Health Referrals
With the exceptions of a handful of Crisis Appointments, all Mental health Outpatient Appointments are created on the back of an incoming referral. As such the Referral can be used to group a series of related appointments (and the resulting encounters/visits). In many ways it is similar to an FHIR EpisodeOfCare, however FHIR Appointments do not reference EpisodeOfCare but they can reference ReferralRequests
