ILHDP Encounter Hospitalization Profile
Top-level encounter in the HDP hierarchical hospitalization model. Represents the patient's overall stay and carries high-level clinical and administrative context. The combination of ILHDPEncounterHospitalization and ILHDPEncounterInpatientCareSegment SHALL cover hospitalization scenarios including general inpatient care, home hospitalization, geriatric care, and psychiatric care. This profile MAY also be used for ambulatory or HMO-operated/community emergency-center visists when the source system models them hierarchically; otherwise ILHDPEncounterCommunityHMOAmbulatory is preferred.
