Care activities
Also known as 'Procedures'. A care activity represents a therapeutic or diagnostic procedure performed in hospital as part of the patient's treatment. These tend to be registered with nationally defined care activity codes that are subsequently used by the hospital to claim reimbursement from the heatlhcare insurers for the care the hostital has provided. An example of a healthcare activity is 'Intravitreal injection of medication' or 'Spirographic lung function assessment' or 'CT scan of the head'. This category is also suitable for transactions/procedures in general.
Of note! According to FHIR standards, surgeries and surgery procedures fall under the procedures profile as well. The CTcue app, however, supports a separate category for data related to surgeries. If the surgeries can be distinguished from the other care activities / procedures in the EHR source, the surgery data will be mapped to the surgeries and surgery procedures connected categories."
