Admission Periods

This category contains the registration of individual admission periods at for example a unique specialism or ward in the hospital. If a patient is moved during an admission, also just from one bed to the other at the same ward, this will be recorded as a new admission period. Suppose a patient is admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, then is placed in the Cardiology Department, where he changes bed twice - then in this category you will find records of 4 admission periods: one at the ICU; one at cardiology, bed #1; one at cardiology, bed #2 and one at cardiology, bed #3.

This is a nested data category, where admission periods are the child and admissions are the parent.
