CGM data - array format

This sample bundle shows CGM data consolidated in a single observation resource. Here, the CGM values are between a certain time range having the same interval between measurements.

Mapping Detail

Name of the field FHIR element Detail
Timestamp timestamp of each measurement is not recorded explicitly. It has to be calculated based on the effectivePeriod and the interval between samples The Observation with observation.code = vital-signs; observation.category = 434910001 will have
- Observation.effectivePeriod - The start and end time of the measurement array
- Observation.valueSampledData.period - Number of milliseconds between samples
- Observation.valueSampledData.data - Array of CGM values
- Observation.valueSampledData.origin - Zero value and units
- Observation.valueSampledData.dimension - The number of sample points at each time point
Device Model DeviceComponent resource for Subcutaneous glucose sensor + DeviceMetric resource that references the DeviceComponent - DeviceComponent is linked to the observation resource through the DeviceMetric resource
- DeviceComponent.productionSpecification for specType = "unspecified" will hold the source name of the CGM
- The field is set based on the source
       - 1 - CGM Simulator --> "CGM Simulator"
      - 2 - Eversense CGM Cloud --> "Eversense CGM Cloud"
- The "source-id" is the unique identification of the source
- DeviceMetric defines the measurement unit (mg/dL) of the Device and is necesasry for the link between the Observation and DeviceComponent resource
glucose Value Observation.valueSampledData.data explained above
