Usage

The Episode of care is the overarching artifact that ties the patient's interaction with RAPIDS together. Each Episode of Care will correspond to a Case with one reference to patient and provider. All other artifacts under that case will have a reference to that Episode of Care.

Notes

The standard FHIR Extension workflow-episodeOfCare will be used on

• observation
• condition
• quesitonairre response

Unfortunately that extension is not supported for MedicationStatement yet (it will be supported in FHIR 5 with MedicationUsage) so a custom extension has been created for that resource (derived from the standard extension used above_
