General information
A Bundle is a collection of resources. It can be used to return results in a search query or to perform an insert or update that requires multiple entries of resources.
Scope and Usage
This profile of Bundle is used in a request, filling the role of a transaction.
The transaction that can be used with this profiling of Bundle is that of updating or creating HVOOrganizationalUnits of a HVOOrganization. The HVOBusiness inside a HVOOrganizationalUnit can also be updated or created as well as and its related HVOLocations. Using a transaction to handle these resources in one operation ensures that the relationships between them are created correctly, or maintained correctly when updating them.

Background and Context
Typically you want to create and update an organizational structure all at once - instead of creating or updating the organization and its units one by one. This makes it easier to build integrating systems with the catalog that perform continuous automatic updates to the hierarchy as well as front ends that offer a graphical interface to perform changes to the hierarchy and its members using the API.

Details
The must-support flag indicates that the element is expected in some use cases, and a missing flag that the element is never used.
The type element must be set to transaction. This makes sure that the server interprets the entries as being connected to each other.
HVOOrganizationalUnits and HVOLocations should be entered in the Bundle as entries. Since HVOBusiness is contained in HVOOrganizationalUnit, it should not be supplied as a separate entry but in the body of the HVOOrganizationalUnit.
How to use
The HVOOrganization SHALL NOT be supplied, it must already exist and can not be updated in a Bundle.
The Bundle can only contain the hierarchy of one HVOOrganization.
The entire organizational structure apart from the HVOOrganization MUST be provided. This ensures that the structure can be validated properly to make sure that there are no structural errors that would make the hierarchy invalid. If a previously entered organizational unit is not provided when updating the hierarchy, it will be marked as inactive by setting the period.end element.
The HVOOrganizationalUnit directly below the HVOOrganization SHALL reference the HVOOrganization in the HVOOrganizationalUnit's partOf element using the HVOOrganization's organization identifier or personal identity number.
