The Swedish National Catalog of Organization, Offerings and Contracts

Informationsmodell_2025-05-07

The Swedish eHealth Agency’s vision for the national catalog is that it should serve as a comprehensive information source for government agencies, healthcare and social services providers, and other relevant stakeholders regarding information about healthcare and social services providers. The catalog should eventually become the common point of entry for publishing structured and standardized information about the content and organization of services within the sector. The first consumers of information from the catalog are services developed for National Care Mediation. The catalog will be developed further to over time address the needs of other relevant stakeholders that require information about healthcare and social service providers.

The General information tab contains information about how to use FHIR for REST. This is very important to read in order to understand how to use the API to interact with the catalog. The tab also includes a page about error handling in FHIR.

The Profiles tab contains all the profiles of this guide, as well as an information page about what profiles are and how to read them. Each profile page includes (besides the profile itself) validation rules as well as supported queries and operations that uses the profile.

The Logicals tab contains the logical models on which the profiles are based.

The Use cases tab provides guidance for common use cases when interacting with the catalog. This can include instructions for queries and operations in a certain use case as well as examples of request bodies for expressing a certain type of entity.

The Business rules tab contains more complex validation rules that can cover multiple resources. It is divided by sector - general, healthcare and social services.

The Extensions page and ValueSets page contain general information about extensions and valuesets as well as a list of all extensions and valuesets used in this guide.
