Important Note to IG Authors:
- This Implementation Guide content is provided as a template. All sections and its content must be reviewed, updated, or removed based on the needs and requirements of your specific IG.
- In this template, only headings at the H3 level (
###) will appear in the left-hand navigation panel. Ensure your headings follow this convention if you want them visible in the navigation. Use H4+ (####, #####, …) for fine-grained structure inside a section (not shown in the nav, but useful for readability).
Note to IG Authors:
This page should serve as a high-level overview and orientation for the IG.
Replace placeholder text with project-specific context.
This Implementation Guide (IG) provides guidance, profiles, and supporting materials to enable consistent implementation of FHIR for this project. The guide is structured into the following sections:
| Section | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Home | Introduces the IG and provides general background information about the project. |
| Business Context | Provides an overview of the business model, relevant data, use cases, and business rules that this IG supports. |
| Technical Context | Describes the profiling methodology, mapping strategies, implementation guidance, and security considerations. Start here if you're planning on building an Implementation Guide. |
| FHIR Artifacts | Central location for all defined FHIR artifacts: profiles, extensions, value sets, data type profiles, operations, search parameters, and examples. |
| Change Log | Tracks specification changes, lists known issues, and provides a place to collect feedback from implementers and reviewers. |
Note to IG Authors:
Add/remove links depending on the content your IG includes. Keep structure consistent across IGs where possible.
Note to IG Authors:
Add your project-specific audience and expectations (e.g., “pharmacy vendors,” “provincial registries”).
The intended audiences of this document are the Health Information Custodians and the vendors of the digital health assets as identified in the Scope section of this implementation guide.
The readers are expected to have an understanding of the fundamentals of HL7 FHIR and the RESTful paradigm, and of the business and technical requirements for contributing and querying dispensed and administered drug and pharmacy service information to/from the DHDR.
