Introduction
This implementation guide is published by the Swedish eHealth Agency and constitutes the integration specification for Swedish medical record indexing and endpoint registration using the HL7 FHIR standard. The APIs described in this guide ensure that all participating systems exchange medical record index and endpoint information in a predictable and interoperable way.
Scope and Usage
The artifacts and transactions in this guide has been designed to meet two use cases - index medical records and administer the usage of service endpoints. Furthermore this guide defines the possibility of combining these two functionalities to enable querying endpoints where medical records can be found. These use cases are categorized in interoperability domains that are made up of system actors and the transactions between them. The interoperability domains are introduced in the sub sections below.
