Overview of the release

Release 1.10.0 includes a change to the accepted multiple NHS number verification statuses across BaRS, seeing a major version increment for Applications 1, 2, 3 & 4. The Appointment Management Foundation Standard has been revised and simplified, including extending the use Document Reference Standard Pattern to update the Registry (National Record Locator), alongside bug fixes and corrections throughout the guide. There have been further minor changes to the current beta, Application 6, following discussion with the BaRS Community involved, and the scope and responsibilities during Assurance have been described. Finally, following user feedback, the content in About BaRS, steps for technical deployment and instructions for connecting to our environments are restructured and simplified.

Overview of the release

Release 1.9.0 includes development of changes and guidance to the cancellation workflows standard pattern for BaRS cancellation to support searches with demographics. Following user feedback, it also introduces a search capability to the Implementation Guide and simplifies versioning by reducing the concurrent versions of Core from three to two: 1.0.7 and 1.3.0. There have been improvements to Help and Support, Application 6 use-case descriptions alongside bug fixes and corrections throughout the guide. Google Analytics has been implemented on the Simplifier site to track site usage and inform future development.

Release 1.8.2 includes development of the Appointment Management Foundation guidance and supporting changes to the API specification. There have been improvements to use-context HTTP header guidance and developer onboarding advice, alongside bug fixes and corrections throughout the guide. Application 5 TKW Receiver scenarios are now documented.

This release of the BaRS marks the introduction of Pre-Release - Application 7 and Core 1.2-alpha. There have been updates to Application 5 and Application 4 to include new use cases now supported by them.

There have also been a number of patch releases for Applications 1,2,6 including bug fixes and corrections to the guide.

This release introduces the concept of concurrent Core versions, and we now have Core versions v1.0.3 and v1.1.3 concurrently in the guide.

This release also brings all applications of BaRS in alignment with the introduction and use of the Use Case Context Code for Service Requests.

This release marks the first appearance of Application 6. This is to support an Ambulance service use case where cases need to be moved between different services for operational reasons. Application 6 is released as a "preview" release and has the status of alpha.

Also this release of the BaRS marks the conclusion of the beta period for applications 3 and 4 and this application now moves to a stable v1.0.0 release available for wide use and adoption.

Overview of the release

This is a minor point release with non-breaking changes. The main highlight of this release is the first publication of documentation for Applications 3 and 4. Both these applications are at 1.0.0-beta and are about to start public beta testing. There has also been a minor change to the Application 5 beta release to incorporate feedback and scope amendments from the development of public beta participants as well as some recent use case policy updates.

There was also a minor reconfiguration of the guidance across all applications to move a number of sections from the application guidance to the Core guidance in a new section "Standard Patterns for BaRS Operations". The applications now reference these sections via links in the appropriate places. The main purpose for this is to reduce significant duplication across the aplicaitons as these particular operations follow a standard set of patterns that are common across all applications of the standard.

Finally, there was a very small update to the Core documentation to reflect three non-breaking changes to core payloads.

This is a minor release Primarily to update the application supporting Primary Care to Pharmacy referral flows (application 5) from the alpha phase to the beta phase. There have been some very minor updates and fixes mainly to the documentation based on feedback from suppliers and others who have reviewed the alpha release.

Overview of the release

This is a minor "patch" adressing a few small issues with the 1.0.0 release of the implementation guide.

A Clinical Safety assessment of the scope of this Patch release has determined that it has not changed the clinical safety profile of the BaRS since the previous version. No updates have been made to the Clinical Safety Case Report and Hazard Log for this release.

This release constitutes the first stable release of the booking and referral standard (v1.0.0). This release encapsulates all the learning from the first of type (private and public betas) for the first few Applications of the standard.
