Implementation Recommendations

• Ocean recommends that both upstream and downstream EMRs should implement the ability for users in the EMR to receive notifications when updates are received on the referral via the FHIR APIs. e.g. a demographic update is made and Ocean sends a notify-update-service-request message event via the APIs informing the system of a demographic update, we recommend that there should be a notification present in the user's EMR informing them of the change so they don't have to peruse through the referral to determine what might have been updated.
