Deployment

PSOM Package

Packages serve as the principal distribution mechanism for sets of profiles and are the recommended method for resource versioning. The fhir.r4.wales.psom package includes all essential components of this IG, such as value sets, profiles, extensions, examples, and the Implementation Guide. Note that PSOM Questionnaires resources are distributed in separate packages, as elaborated on the PSOM index page.

Usage

The package provides a comprehensive set of conformance resources that for instance can be:

  • Utilised for implementing the provided SearchParameter resources to enhance querying capabilities.
  • Incorporated into your application by leveraging the structured terminology resources.

Manual Download and Unpacking

Packages can be manually downloaded via the Simplifier interface. Once downloaded, unpack the files for use.

NPM

The npm command can be used for downloading and installing FHIR packages. Documentation is available here.

Firely Terminal

Firely Terminal functions as a FHIR package manager and facilitates easy package installation. Installation guidance and usage examples can be found here. Note that advanced features in Firely Terminal require a commercial license, although these are not necessary for basic package downloads.
