The Ontario Context Management System (CMS) FHIR Implementation Guide provides specification for the synchronization of context information between digital health applications by allowing the most recent patient context to be pulled from the CMS for a given user.
This version of CMS specification supports 'Request Context Change', 'Query for Current Context' and Create Hub Topic functionalities.
Query for Current Context returns the context information based on the parameters specified on the Transactions page.
Request context change allows application to publish the initial context (or context changes) based ont he parameters specified on the Transactions page .
createHubTopic allow APIs to create the context identifier as defined on the Transactions page .
In Phase 2 CMS will support the full FHIRcast functionality to allow context synchronization using Pub-Sub model.
