Background

The background of this document is the description of the interoperable data export using the MiO DiGA Toolkit via several HL7 FHIR profile definitions for the digital health applications of Novego.

Medical Purpose

Under the brand "Novego", IVPNetworks GmbH offers online self-help programs designed to alleviate or prevent symptoms of illness resulting from difficult or psychologically stressful life situations (e.g. depression, anxiety, burnout, stress). The Novego programs can be used

  • as immediate help,
  • to bridge the waiting time for a therapy place,
  • to bridge gaps in the course of treatment,
  • to accompany treatment offers (e.g. psychotherapy) or
  • as a follow-up offer for stabilization after outpatient or inpatient therapy
  • or for the prevention of stress.

It is a self-help offer that is not intended to replace medical treatment or psychotherapy. Access is provided in a personal, password-protected user area.

Purpose

This implementation guide provides a description of the data format in which data can be exported from the Digital Health Applications "Novego".

Target Audience

This guide is intended for providers, manufacturers, and developers of digital health applications, as well as healthcare providers and patients.

Scope

The implementation guide applies to the Digital Health Applications of the brand "Novego" and is intended to fulfill the technical and semantic interoperability according to §§ 5 and 6 DiGAV.

Interoperable Data Export

Novego offers interfaces for regulated data exchange on the Internet for its programs. One example of future interfaces is the electronic patient record (ePA), which gives patients control over their own health data. Novego uses the internationally recognized semantic HL7 standard FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) for this purpose. Novego follows the published FHIR® Specification v4.0.1: R4 and generates a downloadable xml file as an export. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information.
