Introduction

This implementation guide describes the DXP Healthcare Framework, providing a set of resources that applications can display to consumers.

DXP Healathcare is a platform specification that defines a set of capabilities used across the healthcare process, in all jurisdictions, and in lots of different contexts. This page provides some guidance to help get new implementers started on their path to successful implementation.

The DXP Healthcare Implementation Guide is based on FHIR Version R4 and defines the minimum set of constraints on the FHIR resources to create the DXP Profiles. It also allows for further standards development evolution for specific uses cases.

To promote interoperability and adoption through common implementation, each profile identifies which core elements, extensions, vocabularies and value sets SHALL be present in the resource when using this profile.
