Jursdiction Guidance for this Profile

This jurisdiction uses the PS-CA v1.1 Profile and adds the additional context for its application to the jurisdictional Client Registry:

Data from the Client Registry has the following impacts on the use of the PS-CA Patient Profile.

  • name: This element is considered optional but must support in the Client Registry, it will always be provided, but PS-CA needs at least one name(1..*). In cases where legacy data does not include any name, a data absent reason will be sent.

  • identifier/MRN: The Client Registry does not explicitly capture the identifier type. If identifier is known to be MRN, it will be conveyed using the type element, otherwise it will be sent without type and meet the All Slice expectations.

  • Deceased date: The Client Registry indicates whether a patient is deceased by populating deceased date time as a DateTime value. If the value exists, the implementer should assume that patient is deceased. If the element is not populated, the implementer should not interpret this as an assertion that the patient is not deceased.
