This derived profile allows the grouping of multiple Observation-Lab tests to be referenced within the DiagnosticReport as a single display, e.g. Full Blood Count.


Profile_Purpose

This profile allows the creation of a report for results borne from a single request panel, or profile, e.g. Full Blood Count, Lipid Profile, etc. allowing the results to be logically ordered according to the given profile and/or best practice guidelines.

Example Usage Scenarios

The following are example usage scenarios for the UK Core Observation profile:

  • Group specific laboratory observations together, for example Full Blood Count,
  • Place laboratory observations in an ordered fashion.

    The Observation-LabGroup profile is expected to reference a multiple individual laboratory observations (Observation-Lab) which together form a larger test set, for example a urea and electrolyte test that contains many sub tests.

The minimum viable content that all provider and consumer systems SHALL support are the elements within the corresponding Profile UKCore-Observation table, along with the following.
