This implementation guide builds upon the base FHIR profiles defined in the EHR Simplifier project. It leverages these profiles as-is, ensuring consistency and alignment with the foundational models established for EHR interoperability. The profiles within this project are intended to be used for consumer use-case, without introducing additional constraints beyond those defined in the base EHR project.

While most profiles in this guide are derived directly from the EHR project, some have been created specifically within this IG to address additional other consumer-focused requirements. These newly defined profiles complement the base profiles while maintaining interoperability within broader EHR workflows.
