Sequence Diagram for UC-05: Fetch Document References

Scenario: A Clinical Solution fetches document references from a central Clinical Data Repository.

Assumption: References to documents are already stored in the Clinical Data Repository.

This sequence diagram illustrates how the CA:FeX Interoperability Specifications support the process of fetching document references from a central Clinical Data Repository. It involves two key actors: the Data Consumer and the Data Responder.

The diagram demonstrates the use of two transactions: • CA:FeX-2B ‘FetchDocumentReference’ • CA:FeX-3B ‘Retrieve Document’

It shows how standardized actors interact using these transactions, and the sequence in which the interactions occur when executing UC-05: Fetch Document References as outlined in the CA:FeX Specification.
