Asset Lifecycle
New Addition
The UK Core follows the HL7 publication-status value set.Draft: The asset has an identified use case and is currently under development. It is expected to be used by implementers for testing and feedback prior to balloting.
Active: The asset has been fully developed and successfully reviewed through the ballot process. While future changes may occur, they will be minimised where possible.
Retired: The asset is no longer aligned with its original use case and should not be used. This is typically due to updates in FHIR versions, alignment with broader standards, or because it poses a clinical or technical risk.
Additional notes:
If a draft asset no longer has a valid use case, or is rejected during the ballot process, it will be removed from the build package.
Balloted packages will not include draft or retired assets.
Feedback is encouraged on all assets, particularly those in draft status, to support their progression to a stable release. See ways to Contact Us
