Pharmaceutical Dose Form: Tablet
A tablet is a very simple example of a pharmaceutical dose form. Its manufactured form is equal to its administrable form (no transformation), and it has only one of each of the attributes administration method, basic dose form, intended site, release characteristics and transformation.
For more complex examples of the pharmaceutical dose form, see Pharmaceutical Dose Form: Splitting or Manufactured -> Administrable Dose Form
One example is the medicinal product Paracet tab

Manufactured -> Administrable Dose Form
If the Pharmaceutical Dose Form contains one or more "Transformation" attributes (except "No Transformation"), it represents a Manufactured Dose Form that must be reconciliated by these transformations into an Administrable Dose Form before the medication can be administered to the patient..
As an example, a medicinal product with the pharmaceutical (manufactured) dose form "Powder for Solution for Injection" has to be transformed (reconstituted) into an administrable product with its administrable dose form "Solution for injection".

Pharmaceutical Dose Form: Splitting
Some medicinal products have dose forms with multiple intended sites or administration methods. Since these attributes are the basis for grouping administrable products according to their clinical effect, medications with intended site "ear" and "eye" would not be grouped together with those only having intended site "ear" or "eye".
Therefore, we are splitting manufactured items with multiiple intended sites or administration methods up into several administrable products with only one of these attributes.
One example is the medicinal product Vistamethasone Eye/Ear/Nose Drops
