The goal of LRA is to serve all healthcare staff and citizens. LRA operates as a back-end service, employing open standards to design, develop, and implement provincial Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and clinical data repositories based on Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards.&#xD;&#xA;•&#x9;Access will be provisioned through BC’s federated Identity and Access Management (IDAM) infrastructure currently being built out for providers and patients.&#xD;&#xA;•&#x9;Data will be exposed through LRA APIs to clinical information systems, Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), and provider / patient portals using either direct FHIR API integration or SMART on FHIR applications.&#xD;&#xA;The target is for LRA to be highly interoperable - scalable, reliable, and performant for all of BC." />
