SFM Basis API Implementation Guide

SFM Basis API provides a dedicated FHIR API for simplified and aggregated access to the national prescription data provided in e-resept.

SFM Basis API will serve EHR installations with integrated medication/prescription functionality. This integration does not rely on UI components, and uses SFM for integration towards the national systems Reseptformidleren and Kjernejournal.

Disclaimer: This implementation guide is preliminary. Along the road till fully implemented API it is likely that there will be changes. Adjustments or changes may be necessary due to implementation issues, standardization issues, quality measures or feedback from vendors of client systems.
Note that the information in this implementation guide does not cover all aspects in the prescription process. It is essensial that the specification documents, the requirements, and even the message specification details for e-resept is used together with this guide.

• Examples will be added to simplifier when the correspondig API functions are finished in development.
• Details will be added as the detailed SFM specification is approved for development.
• Changes considered significant will be annocunced and listed separately.
