Scope
This document specifies the interface specifications and business rules to set up the OLIS FHIR Patient Query For Providers in a Health Care Provider Application or Portal in order to view laboratory data from OLIS. It also enables public health units (PHU) to use their application to retrieve all results of certain category, such as COVID19. The COVID19 query is supported in this implementation guide. It is also called as bulk query or CCM query as it is consumed by Ministry's Contact Tracing and Management solution.
Business context, implementation guidance and examples are included in this document to provide context for the specifications. The information provided is accurate, but not exhaustive. Specifications for interface connectivity, protocols, and security requirements related to the "OLIS FHIR Patient Query for Providers" for Providers service end points can be found in other Referenced Documents.
Applying the OLIS HL7 FHIR IG
Ontario Health will be establishing the OLIS HL7 FHIR IG as an interoperability specification under Ontario’s Digital Health Information Exchange (DHIEX) framework.
The following information is provided in accordance with section 28 of O. Reg. 329/04 made under the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), 2004.
