Scope
This Ontario Mental Health and Addictions Provincial Data Set (MHA PDS) HL7 FHIR Implementation Guide (IG) supports the submission of data from various organizations and agencies providing clients with mental health and addictions services.
In-Scope
The following is in scope for this release:
- Support for implementers submitting data to the MHA PDS Repository
- Client information including demographics and social determinants of health
- Service related information including referral data, program information, appointment and encounter details
- Health Care Service organization and provider site details
Out of Scope
The following is out of scope for this release:
- Clinical diagnosis and assessments are not in scope for this release but will be added in future releases as prioritized
- Search, view, and data retrieval operations are out of scope for this release but will be added in future releases and prioritized
Applying the Ontario Mental Health and Addictions Provincial Data Set HL7 FHIR IG
Ontario Health intends to establish the Ontario Mental Health and Addictions Provincial Data Set HL7 FHIR IG as an interoperability specification under Ontario’s Digital Health Information Exchange (DHIEX) framework.The following information is provided in accordance with section 28 of O. Reg. 329/04 made under the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), 2004.
