Sequence Diagram for UC-03: Create and Submit Data

Scenario: A Clinical Solution submits clinical data to a central Clinical Data Repository.

Assumption: The clinical information (as a FHIR Resource) is stored in the Clinical Data Repository.

This sequence diagram illustrates how the CA:FeX Interoperability Specifications support the submission of clinical data—such as individual FHIR Resources—to a central Clinical Data Repository. It involves two key actors: the Data Source and the Data Recipient.

The diagram demonstrates the use of the CA:FeX-1C ‘Submit Resource’ transaction. It shows how standardized actors interact through defined transactions, and the expected sequence of interactions when executing UC-03: Create and Submit Data as outlined in the CA:FeX Specification.
