### Finnish PHR Heart Rate Profile

Finnish PHR profile for FHIR® Observation used in heart rate measurements. The profile is based on the  [Finnish PHR Vital Signs Base profile](VitalSignsBaseProfile "Finnish PHR Vital Signs Base profile").

**The Finnish PHR Heart Rate Profile constrains the Finnish PHR Vital Signs Base Profile as follows**:

- *Observation.code*: 
    - *Observation.code.coding* element is sliced into main LOINC code of the heart rate (slice heartRate) and the more detailed LOINC codes of the heart rate (slice heartRateAverage24h, slice heartRateMinimum24h, slice heartRateMaximum24h). The main LOINC code for heart rate (slice heartRate) SHALL always be given, the detailed LOINC code for heart rate (only one of the slices) MAY be provided with an additional code. The slicing is closed, so other codes than specified in slices are not allowed.
        - slice1: heartRate, set to mandatory  
            - *code* fixed to value 8867-4 (Heart rate), only fixed value SHALL be used 
        - slice2: heartRateAverage24h, optional  
            - *code* fixed to value 41924-2 (Average heart rate 24h), only fixed value SHALL be used
        - slice3: heartRateMinimum24h, optional  
        	- *code* fixed to value 8883-1 (Minimum heart rate 24h), only fixed value SHALL be used
        - slice4: heartRateMaximum24h, optional  
        	- *code* fixed to value 8873-2 (Maximum heart rate 24h), only fixed value SHALL be used
- *Observation.valueQuantity*: 
    - *system* fixed to value http://unitsofmeasure.org, set to mandatory
    - *unit* fixed to value beats/min, only fixed value SHALL be used, set to mandatory
    - *code* fixed to value beats/min, only fixed value SHALL be used, set to mandatory 
    - *value* set to mandatory
- *Observation.component*: removed, not needed

**Extensions used in the Finnish PHR Heart Rate Profile**:
- [Finnish PHR boolean extension](FinnishPHRbooleanextension "Finnish PHR boolean extension") extends the Finnish PHR Heart Rate Profile with boolean information telling is the heart rate rhytm regular (true) or irregular (false) during the measurement.
- [Finnish PHR Application Information extension](FinnishPHRApplicationInformationextension "Finnish PHR Application Information extension") extends the Finnish PHR Heart Rate Profile with information about the application that created the resource instance
