### Finnish PHR Blood Glucose Profile

Finnish PHR profile for FHIR® Observation used in blood glucose measurements. The profile is based on the  [Finnish PHR Vital Signs Base profile](VitalSignsBaseProfile "Finnish PHR Vital Signs Base profile").

**The Finnish PHR Blood Glucose Profile constrains the Finnish PHR Vital Signs Base Profile as follows**:
- *Observation.code*: 
    - *Observation.code.coding* element is sliced into LOINC codes of home glucometer readings (slice GlucoseInBlood), home glucometer readings (GlucoseInCapillaryBlood) and CGM readings (GlucoseInBodyFluid). The detailed code for a slice collected over slice-specific reading SHALL be provided.
The slicing is closed, so other codes than specified in slices are not allowed.
        - slice1: GlucoseInBlood, optional,
            - *code* fixed to value 15074-8 (used with home glucometer readings), only fixed value SHALL be used 
        - slice2: GlucoseIncapillaryBlood, optional,
            - *code* fixed to value 14743-9 (used with home glucometer readings), only fixed value SHALL be used 
        - slice3: GlucoseInBodyFluid, optional, 
            - *code* fixed to value 14745-4 (used with CGM readings), only fixed value SHALL be used 

- *Observation.valueQuantity*:
    - *system* fixed to value http://unitsofmeasure.org, set to mandatory
    - *unit* fixed to value mmol/l, only fixed value SHALL be used set to mandatory
    - *code* fixed to value mmol/L, only fixed value SHALL be used, set to mandatory 
    - *value* set to mandatory
    - *comparator* set to optional, how the quantity SHOULD be understood and represented (binding strenght required)
- *Observation.dataAbsentReason*: optional, provides a reason why Observation.Value is missing (binding strenght required)
- *Observation.component*: removed, not needed
- *Observation.device*: removed, not needed
