### **To create patient resources - use patient profile** 


##### Commonly used elements are 'identifier' and 'Gender'. For each study or cohort users will need to come up with a system for patients and link this to the value in the data set for the patient ID variable. 
##### For this the system uri should be specified in the Excel plug-in (ResourceGenerators sheet) - refer to eLab Excel step by step document. 
##### The system uri should be detailed in the **Constant value** column (Excel plug-in) for the row of identifier.system 
###### (which is an enterable field when the user has expanded 'identifier')
##### And the variable containing the patient identifier should be referenced in identifier.value in the **Variable Reference** column (Excel plug-in)
