## Mapping from IEEE 11073 to FHIR This section provides detailed mapping from the ISO/IEEE 11073-10201 Domain information model (DIM) data elements to FHIR Resources and profiles. Note that this model is also used for IHE PCD semantic content exchange, as well as in many other standards. ### Medical Device System The Medical Device System (MDS) object is mapped to a [Device](http://hl7.org/fhir/device.html) and a [DeviceComponent](http://hl7.org/fhir/devicecomponent.html) resource according to the PoC Device and MDS DeviceComponent profiles.
