The eReferral Specification is expected to be generic enough to support all referral pathways. Specific pathways considered during the development of this specification include:

* Acute to Rehab
* Complex Continuing Care
* Long-Term Care
* In-Home Services
* Physician to Specialist
* Community Support Services
* Mental Health & Addictions

All of these flows could include a variation with a central access method and/or eReferral solution facilitating the process.
